The New Theatre of Thessaloniki presents at Moni Lazariston Festival the play "The high mountains" of Zacharias Papantoniou.

The high mountains, one of the firts school course books, written in the language of modern Greeks,  with vivid descriptions and  humor, was the basis of the education of younger generations.

This is one of the best works of our modern Greek literary tradition, hidden in the pages of the  nostalgic memories of children from the open nature. The high mountains, depicts the spirit of educator Papantoniou, who inherited us a substantial project of our pedagogical literature of the Greek school.

The love of children towards this story, nowadays, proving not only the timeless authenticity but also the impact to generations of Greek children.
