Oi Aggeloi tou Tsitsani" (or "Tsitsani's Angels") consist of Mariana Vogiatzi (baglama,voice), Vagelio Tsaousidou (percussion,voice) and Labrini Grigoriadou (guitar).
The three girls, having been friends for years but studying in different cities, found themselves in Thessaloniki two years ago and decided to form a rebetiko band. All classically trained but then again coming from varied musical backgrounds, they put their efforts in what turned out to be not your average taverna ensemble.
Combining humor with plenty of elements from popular music, all instilled in the Greek traditional music genre, "Oi Aggeloi tou Tsitsani" use the conventional rebetiko repertoire with twists of improvisation and put on live shows that are often "interactive" as they want to call them.
