In 2015 it completed 100 years since the birth of Vassilis Tsitsanis and Moni Lazariston Festival honors the great Greek composer with an original musical tribute on Thursday, September 10th, at 21:00.

Nikos Ordoulidis with "The eastern piano project" accompanied by Maria Pseiropoulou (vocals) will give a different dimension to pieces of Tsitsani, while classic and paths will march the Rebetika Ensemble of Traditional Music Direction, Music Department of Music Science and Art, University of Macedonia.

The Rebetiko Ensemble of the Department of Music Science and Art, University of Macedonia, which consists of the students: Konstantina Petrinioti, Eva Misokefalou, Yiannis Dionisiou Nikos Sarilakis, Mars Kaliakouda Dimitris Papakonstantinou and Apostolos Apostolidis, under the guidance of their teacher Lefteris Tsikouridis will present a concert with prewar songs of the composer (before 1940) insisting in the style of the first recordings of the songs.

It is worth noting that the concert will be recorded and will be released on CD as the first record production of Moni Lazariston Festival!

In the second part of the tribute, Nikos Ordoulidis with "The eastern piano project” and the singer Maria Pseiropoulou reveal hidden aspects of Tsitsani’s work.
